First Reconciliation

Welcome to First Reconciliation!
At St. Francis, children make First Reconciliation AND First Communion in the same year! You will meet with 2-4 other families to prepare your children (and yourselves) for celebration of the sacrament in November. We ask parents (are you sitting down?) to lead the way for their children by making a Confession right before their child on the night of First Reconciliation. We are confident that, despite common apprehension over this, you will experience great grace through this sacrament! Our prayer is that Confession, as well as Eucharist, become regular experiences of grace and unity for your family.
Important Dates:
PARENT MEETING: SEPTEMBER 18 AT 10:30 AM
* Parents - If you are not on Formed.org yet, please make a login for yourselves. Go to FORMED.ORG and create a login. You will need our parish code - ZKZ79Y - and it will prompt you. We have assigned the "Forgiven" series of 5 videos (between 27 and 38 minutes long) to you. It's really well done and a wonderful use of your precious time! I promise!

And anyway...
WHY do I have to go to a priest for CONFESSION? Can't I just confess to God? |
