Welcome to the St. Francis of assisi early childhood center

St. Francis of Assisi Parish Early Childhood Center, a New York State Office of Children and Family Services licensed program, provides an educational experience in a caring Christian environment for 3 and 4 year olds. The program, which allows children to transition from home to school, is designed to provide experiences that meet children’s needs in their spiritual, physical, social, emotional and cognitive development.
The curriculum for the 3 and 4 year olds follows the New York State Education Standards and, at St. Francis, is based on monthly themes. The Center offers 3 or 5 day sessions for the 3 year olds with hours of 8:30 - 11:30 AM or 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM. The 4 year old schedule is Monday through Friday; 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The Center was selected as a Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) site by the City of Tonawanda School District.
After School Care at St. Francis of Assisi Parish Early Childhood Center offers supervised homework help, creative and physical activities and a snack in a safe environment. The After School Program headed by Mrs. Sheila Neumeister, serves the 3 and 4 year olds in the Early Childhood Center as well as children in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Mrs. Renée Gilbert conducts and manages an after school care for children with special needs. The Center is a drop-off spot for students enrolled in the Tonawanda School District public schools or students transported from area Catholic Schools.
Mrs. Sally Babcock, Director of the faith-based educational program, said that registration for the 2021-22 school year begins in late January 2021. For more information check the parent information page on the website or call (716) 692-7886 to arrange a tour of the Center.
